Case VI: orphan boy

A new born baby was rescued on 5th june 1997 at ilesa, Osun state, Nigeria  and admitted into Wesley Guild Hospital Ilesa(Neo Natal ward). He was delivered by a Teenage mother who threw him into a pit-toilet and ran away

The boy was active, cord still attached to Navel and crying. All care and treatment given by SBHF personnel. The organization went into the street where the baby was found in the toilet. The neighbor located the maternal Grandmother(name and address withheld); she was brought into the Hospital ward as the caregiver.

On discharge, St Benedicts Healthcare Foundation(SBHF) chairperson introduced and took the caregiver to the Ilesa west local Government chairman(Mr Alesinloye ‘1997’) for possible assistance, who gave the care giver a job as a cleaner in the local government council were she still works(Maternity centre) till date and was able to take care of the child. The boy is  now 18 years of age, study at Ilesa Grammar school( senior secondary class one in the year 2015).

Non profit organization that takes care of Orphan and vulnerable children. Also operates around Community Health issues and HIV Aids.
